Is that redundant?
My high school teacher asked me that after receiving my email through Little Acorn Learning about our latest Facebook Photo Contest. He always kept me on my feet and thinking and I see he will do so through my adult life as well…
The thing is that I also considered that same question when I chose the theme for this month’s contest. I chose it on purpose. Because January is always about resolutions and starting over.
Yet, I often have to begin again. Don’t you?
Lately in my life, I feel that I often have to begin again, with the same good intent, each morning. Yet, the result I am hoping for is not always there to praise me at the end.
Sometimes, I start and do well for much longer than that… but then fall off-track and back into old patterns quickly, instinctively.. and I have to once again, start… begin, again.
So, that is why I loved the idea of a New Beginning. Maybe it is the same idea but newly embraced. Maybe.
I’m not a big fan of New Year’s Resolutions. In the past, I’ve promoted New Year’s Affirmations. Right now I want to promote forgiveness of self. Forgiveness and acceptance to begin again. Just because you didn’t follow through or even begin in the first place… that doesn’t mean you can’t do it now.
So as you ponder that. Consider finding no more than three photos that remind you of the phrase “New Beginnings” and send them to us at firstname.lastname@example.org with permission to use your photos in future publications through Little Acorn Learning. Then keep checking our Facebook Page and ask family and friends to vote for your photos by clicking “like”. On January 16th we will tally up all the likes and decide upon our winners. Winners will receive a FREE E-Book of their choice from Little Acorn Learning (a $24.99 value).
