Make a Glove Bunny for Easter
Spring Glove Bunny Tutorial (Download Here)

Create a soft, simple bunny using an old pair of gloves—perfect for spring baskets or gentle imaginative play.
Materials
- A pair of old gloves
- Needle and thread
- Wool stuffing (or soft filling)
- 2 small buttons (eyes) + 1 small button (nose)
- Red beeswax crayon (or regular crayon)
- Scissors
Step 1: Prepare the Gloves
- Cut off:
- The middle two fingers
- The thumb
(from both gloves)
- You will be left with:
- The pointer finger
- The pinky finger
? One glove will become the body, and the other will become the head.
Step 2: Make the Bunny’s Body
- Cut off the elastic cuff at the wrist.
- Sew closed all holes where fingers were removed.
- Leave the top (neck area) open for now.
- Turn right side out (if needed) and stuff firmly.
Add Arms:
- Take the two middle fingers you cut off.
- Stuff them lightly and sew one onto each side of the body.
Add Tail:
- Take the thumb, stuff it, and sew it onto the back as a tail.
Finish Body:
- Once everything is attached and stuffed, sew the top closed.
You should now have:
- 2 legs (from the glove base)
- 2 arms
- A soft body
- A small tail
Step 3: Make the Head
- Take the second glove (with pointer + pinky still attached).
- Sew closed all openings where fingers were removed.
- Cut off the elastic cuff.
- Stuff firmly to shape the head and ears.
- Sew the bottom closed.
? The two remaining fingers will naturally form the bunny ears.
Step 4: Attach the Head
- Place the head on top of the body.
- Sew securely around the base to attach.
Step 5: Add the Face & Details
- Sew on:
- Two buttons for eyes
- One button for the nose
- Gently rub a red crayon on:
- The ears
- The cheeks
✨ Keep features simple—this helps preserve imagination and open-ended play.
A Gentle Note

- Tucked into a handmade basket
- Given as a seasonal gift
- Or created slowly together with a child as a celebration of spring
