 Symmetry in Math and Nature

When something is symmetrical, it means it looks identical on both sides. For example, our faces may seem symmetrical but each side may be just a little bit different. The natural world is full of symmetry. A butterfly’s wings are often symmetrical.

Go outside with your child and try to find items on this Symmetry Scavenger Hunt that look the same or “almost” symmetrical if split down the middle. This is included in our First Grade Spring Semester.

If you live in an environment that these items would not pertain to we hope you use it as inspiration to create your own hunt.
